Findlay RV and Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada teamed to provide a travel trailer for the Campbell family of Alamo. Parents Brad and Amy Campbell are seen with children Jaynee and Tyce.
Findlay Automotive Group’s Findlay RV and Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada have combined to create the ideal working relationship, especially as evidenced by the donation of a Forest River Wildwood Lite travel trailer that retails for more than $31,000.
The heartfelt donation was given to the Brad and Amy Campbell family of Alamo, Nev., during a recent ceremony at Findlay RV which is situated at 4530 Boulder Highway.
The Campbell’s son, five year-old Tyce, was diagnosed with cancer when he was 21 months old. He lost his left leg during the battle, but continues to amaze everyone he meets getting around just fine with a prosthetic limb.
The family lives about 90 miles northeast of Las Vegas and within a short distance of several outdoor adventures, so there’s no question the Campbell family will enjoy the outdoors in the trailer.
The family discovered the fun of renting a trailer and fell in love with the experience. The new gift presented by the partnership of Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada and Findlay RV was the perfect addition for the family, which also includes daughter Jaynee.
“We applied with Make-A-Wish and Tylar (Wish Manager Pendgraft of the organization) called after we had been chatting with her for several weeks,” Amy Campbell said. “It was very well-worth-it. Tylar played a big part in securing the trailer for us.”
It was learned through communications that Tyce was very outdoor-oriented, so Pendgraft started the communications with Findlay RV general manager Reuben Figueroa.
“The people at Make-A-Wish knew that Tyce was outdoor-oriented, so they got to meet Tyce and decided to give us a trailer,” Amy explained.
The gift was especially meaningful for the Campbell family, which also includes father Brad, a Nevada Highway Patrol officer.
“We felt that we could enjoy a trailer forever,” Amy said. “Our kids are young so that we could enjoy the trailer for a long time. Our family has been through so much and felt it was important to have a trailer that would enable us to have some long-lasting memories.”
The trailer has plenty of room inside.
“The kids were really excited to see that it had bunk beds,” Amy said.
The Campbell children slept in the trailer the first night in Alamo.
“It was a win for us, that’s for sure,’ said Mrs. Campbell, a native of Southern Nevada who graduated Pahranagat Valley High School. “We’re not sure where we’re going with our trailer, but we do know that we’re going to have a lot of fun using it.
“The memories will be endless.”

It marked the second time that Findlay RV donated a trailer, after another similar donation at the NASCAR at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last September.
Make –A-Wish Southern Nevada grants wishes for children between the ages of 2 ½ and 17 at time of referral. After a child is referred, Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada works with the treating physician to determine the child’s eligibility for a wish.
“For Tyce, that one true wish was to have a travel-trailer by which he can have many camping experiences with his family,” Pendgraft added.
