2009 SCORE BAJA 1000 PARTICIPANTS TO GIVE BACK TO THE PEOPLE OF BAJA

Desert racers and fans will help orphaned and low-income Baja kids afflicted with cancer at a very special taco stand.

During the upcoming edition of the brutal SCORE Tecate Baja 1000 desert race, November 20-21, fans and race crews will converge at a unique taco stand at the very edge of the race course to enjoy delicious tacos with all proceeds benefiting Tijuana’s Castro-Limon Foundation for Baja kids with cancer.

Locos Mocos, an extreme location desert racing pit crew founded in 1997, was looking for a way to give back to the gracious people of Baja California for welcoming desert racers from around the world year after year to participate in this world-class event. Helping the Castro-Limon Foundation was the answer. So the “Fighting Cancer With Tacos” project was born.
