LAS VEGAS – Caesars Foundation’s executives presented a $100,000 check, today, to USO Las Vegas during an afternoon ceremony inside McCarran International Airport. The donation represents Ceasars Foundation’s commitment to supporting America’s service members and their families.

“The donation stems from Caesars’ on-going commitment and support of the USO and the services it provides to military members and their families,” Jan Jones, Senior Vice President of Communications and Government Relations and Vice Chair of the Caesars Foundation said. “This contribution will support the USO Las Vegas’ mission of providing a “home away from home” for our military members as they travel to and from Las Vegas. USO Las Vegas has been a long time in coming to McCarran and we are pleased we are able to play a role in its formation.”

“The heartfelt commitment to support America’s troops shared by the Caesars Foundation and the Caesars Entertainment team is inspiring,” said Sloan Gibson, USO president. “We are honored and grateful to build this partnership with Caesars, which is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of troops and their families. Caesars employees now have an avenue to show their support for our Armed Forces.”

The Caesars Foundation is a private foundation funded by a percentage of operating income from Caesars Entertainment's resorts. The Foundation is the entity through which Caesars Entertainment funds programs and projects of $10,000 or more, as well as not-for-profit giving requirements imposed by certain operating jurisdictions. The Foundation's objective is to strengthen organizations and programs in the communities where our employees and their families live and work.

The donated funds will support programs and services offered at the USO Las Vegas center, which opened in Nov. 2010. The USO Las Vegas is located on the mezzanine level, near the “A & B” security gate checkpoints in Terminal 1 of McCarran Airport. It is open from 8:00 a.m. to midnight. For more information, visit

The Caesars Foundation focuses its philanthropic giving on three distinct areas:
Helping older individuals live longer, healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Globally, the Foundation’s primary emphasis is supporting not-for-profit advocacy and service-delivery organizations dedicated to helping older individuals live independently, maintain optimal health and proper nutrition, avoid social isolation, and enjoy mental and physical vitality through every stage of the aging process.

Marshaling our financial resources – and the commitment of our colleagues – to promote a safer, cleaner environment.

At the regional level, the Foundation works to identify projects and organizations that bring Caesars Entertainment colleagues together to tackle projects with important environmental benefits for our communities. From roadside track pick-ups, to tree-planting events, to assisting with energy-efficiency improvements at civic centers, service facilities and community offices, the focus is squarely on making our hometowns cleaner, greener places.

Improving the quality of life in our operating communities.

On a local level, we support civic organizations, charitable organizations and faith-based groups that help address vital, unmet needs in cities and towns where our colleagues live and work. Our focus is as diverse as the communities we serve: health and wellness organizations, social-services providers, youth groups, programs for persons with disabilities, scholarships that enable access to higher education – whatever the need, we seek out the right partners to help us make meaningful, long-term impact. Please check with your local Caesars Entertainment property or properties to learn more about their civic focus.

In the upcoming months, the Caesars Foundation’s “Will to Do Wonders” is working wonders each day, in cities, in towns throughout the U.S. and globally. To learn more about these efforts and the programs and organizations we support, visit

About the USO

The USO (United Service Organizations) lifts the spirits of America’s troops and their families millions of times each year at hundreds of places worldwide. We provide a touch of home through centers at airports and military bases, top quality entertainment and innovative programs and services. We also provide critical support to those who need us most, including forward-deployed troops and their families, wounded warriors and their families and the families of the fallen.

The USO is a private, non-profit organization, not a government agency. We rely on the generosity of our volunteers and donors. In addition to individual donors and other corporate sponsors, the USO is supported by Worldwide Strategic Partners: American Airlines, AT&T Inc., BAE Systems, The Boeing Company, Clear Channel Communications, The Coca-Cola Company, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft Corporation, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Procter & Gamble and TriWest Healthcare Alliance. We are also supported through the United Way and Combined Federal Campaign (CFC-11381). To join us in this patriotic mission and to learn more about the USO, please visit
